This workshop continued the development of a long-term, coordinated, regional approach to address the threats posed by excess, unstable, loosely secured or otherwise at-risk stockpiles of conventional weapons and munitions held by the governments of South East European nations. In Budva, careful consideration was given to the five issue areas identified through the previous RASR workshop in Zagreb, Croatia. Each of these issues was discussed in detail and participants identified practical solutions and next steps to be taken towards a regional approach to stockpile reduction.
